VOC Priorities  

Security Services and its management through our Supplier partners encompass a number of different elements across CBRE locations globally. The key elements currently include;

  • Access Control Equipment and Services (electronic systems that facilitate automated approval for authorized personnel to enter through a security portal). This includes additional elements such as Badging and Access Control Equipment
  • Guarding / Manned Services (Is a person employed to protect the employing party's assets (property, people, equipment, money, etc.) from a variety of hazards (such as criminal activity, waste, damaged property, unsafe worker behavior, etc.) by enforcing preventative measures
  • Remote security monitoring is the monitoring of an entire security system, carried out by a third-party monitoring provider, 24/7, 365 days of the year and completely remote. The monitoring team will be monitoring the security system for several factors, with the most important being triggered or activated alarms. This could be in the form of intruder alarms, sensors and/or CCTV cameras
  • Security Services are services in addition to guarding and include Risk and Advisory Services, executive protection, event security, mobile patrol, and training
  • Security Consulting (assessing risks, problems and solutions for security issues). The consultant may work as a physical security consultant or as an IT consultant who works with computers

Develop Global and Regional best-in-class information, processes and templates for Security services and its sub-components within the Security Excellence program focusing on the below Key elements:

  • Global solution led with Regional focus and line - of - business sensitivity
  • Define Security Scope based on Assessment, not just client’s specification
  • Engagement of existing Global / SPD providers over niche / local
  • Roll-up of tail spend - reduction in the number of service providers
  • Develop expanded Preferred suppliers in all Regions
  • Implement and devlope Diverse suppliers
  • Creation of Hybrid options for Client requirements (ie, Remote Guarding / Monitoring with data analytics / technology)
  •  Expand In - Scope spend to capture increased Out- of -Scope spend
  • Seek Supplier partner Capability statements (services offered) covering “All” regions and countries including Global contacts
  • "Outcome - based" Contracts
  • Consider increasing use of JCI / Tyco, Honeywell for Security Equipment and Maintenance services (Service Bundling)
  • Align with Smart FM planning and strategy

  •  The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which prohibits the use of equipment manufactured by a limited set of Chinese manufacturers affects overall purchase costs to the end consumer limiting equipment availability for electronic components for Security operations. Whilst US centric it impacts certain clients who have Global operations
  • Use of Security Technology reducing guarding costs (up to 92% save)
  • Bundling or De-Bundling of services - based on Client requirements
  • Review of Headcount based on site area / building locations
  • Review of site security rosters with providers to reduce / eliminate the need for overtime
