Standards to Apply

Key Points

  • Security personnel, whether site basis or mobile must receive adequate training for first aid
  • Security personnel must be properly trained on how to raise alarms and notify key people and emergency services
  • Where appropriate Security personnel should be trained on bomb threat procedures
  • Security personnel must know the location of First Aid boxes and equipment as well as any emergency alarm buttons
  • Security personnel MUST know the location of emergency defibrillators and ideally be trained on their use

Security service provider to be given adequate training related to first aid, fire response, bomb incidents, security threats and emergency incidents

Participate and support in emergency drills and tests

Support business continuity plans and actions within the scope of their roles

Escalate emergency incidents using the correct alarm systems and emergency warning notification systems

Know how to use the provided and installed fire and emergency equipment

Have basic first aid knowledge and how to raise an alarm

Provide input for the development and implementation of safety and emergency procedures

Know the basic process to call emergency medical services

First Aid Equipment

Security personnel must be trained and competent in the use all pieces of First aid equipment including but not limited to;

  • Defibrillators
  • Arm and / or Leg restraint devices
  • Application of bandages
  • Application of torniquet's

 The Security service provider can be instructed by CBRE to carry out appropriate emergency procedures and processes on site which should form part of their assigned duties. All Security service personnel are to be adequately trained for these events, should they happen.  The Security service provider will hold accountability for all emergency situations.,

Training on location of Emergency alarms including Fire Break glass alarm

Having basic First Aid Training, ideally

certified in First Aid

Trained on access points and locations for pickup and / or collection in Emergencies

Standards to Apply

Key Points

  • Ensure all ad-hoc Security services are noted within the SOW
  • If it is not clear or not properly documented - Do NOT Perform the task, seek approval and clarification
  • If the services can be charged back to the Client, ensure they are documented with the accompanying details and costs in the MSA / SOW and SLA
  • Plan and agree on additional activities ensuring they do not impact normal guarding performance measures
